The Autopen® is a simple and reliable insulin delivery device which makes the experience of injecting insulin easy, even for younger users or individuals who suffer with reduced dexterity.
2 Unit Insulin Delivery System
The Autopen® is an insulin cartridge delivery pen that is compatible with all pen needles and features a unique, conveniently positioned side release button that is gently pressed and held to deliver the insulin dose. Its automatic insulin delivery means a consistently minimal force is required to deliver insulin, which makes it particularly suitable for patients with low finger strength.
Autopen® incorporates an audible dose selector and visual indicators to ensure correct dosage is set whilst the automatic delivery system enables the hand to be held closer to the injection site, allowing for a more stable injection.
Assistive accessories are also available for Autopen® to provide an even easier injection experience for people with limited hand movement or grip and for greater control over dosage settings. Autopen® adaptive accessories include a release button extension and larger size dose selector adaptor.
The Autopen® Classic 2 will optimally deliver 2 – 42 units of insulin in increments of 2 units.
Autopen® Classic 2 is suitable for use with 3.0 mL insulin cartridges from Eli Lilly (NDC# 08470-3810-01) and is recommended for use with Unifine Pentips Pen Needles.
